Lair Of The Minotaur

Chicago's Lair of the Minotaur was formed in spring of 2003 by former 7000 Dying Rats members Steven Rathbone (vocals/guitar) and Donald James Barraca, along with Pelican drummer Larry Herweg. Inspired by the vulgar, misanthropic, proto-black metal pioneered decades earlier by the likes of Venom and Hellhammer, then adding lyrics based on classic Hellenic mythology, the trio produced a six-song EP later that year and quickly found a home with Southern Lord Records. Their full-length debut, Carnage, arrived in mid-2004 and the three-song Cannibal Massacre EP followed a year later; then a second, even more potent full-length named The Ultimate Destroyer was released in early 2006. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi

Carnage Needs To Be In The Discography.

JesusKIDS! STFU about comparing Minotaur to Lamb of God.....they r e different, way different. - That is if you know metal. If you dont know the difference between LOG & Lair.....the n you need to figure it out.

This is dirty, more basic thrash / sometimes Sludge like metal......L O G is modern american Thrash. Way more technical.

You been schooled. Your welcome.
Wow. Never thought I could get high and listen to this sort of stuff. Holy s**t this is AWESOME.
This is awesome. but LOG is better imo. This vocalist doesnt cut it for me.

good stuff. Lamb of God is better though. Their style is unique which makes them great. Old Lamb of God is better but their new stuff is cool too.
much, much, much better. the lamb of god drummer is great, but their music is f**king boring.
Strange name for a band, but the music is good nevertheless . I really enjoyed.
