I thought this was supposed to be a bio of how Duke and Satchmo came together for a summit. What happened to Armstrong? Not a mention. This bio is all about Duke. There is a very interesting story of how these two had parallel careers, respected each other (Duke even wrote Azelia for Armstrong, but he never performed it until this 1960 summit. Let's get with it, Genome people!

Duke Ellington is the MOST IMPORTANT composer in the history of Jazz. That sentence was distilled from choices/deci s i o n s he made while living thru 75years of life on this earth. Louis Armstrong was the most successful and talented jazz musician in history
