Indie rock band Ludo was formed in Tulsa, OK, in 2003 by Andrew Volpe, Tim Ferrell, Tim Convy, Marshall Fanciullo, and Matt Palermo; the group subsequently based itself in St. Louis, MO. It was in St. Louis that they recorded their self-titled debut album, released in 2003 on Redbird Records. The EP Broken Bride followed in 2005. In the fall of 2006, Ludo was signed to Island Records, part of the major label Universal Music. Working with producer Matt Wallace (Maroon 5, Train, Faith No More), they recorded their label debut, You're Awful, I Love You, which was released on February 26, 2008, as they toured the Midwest, followed by coast-to-coast dates in March. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi
I loved Ludo before I watched Labyrinth, and I knew they got their name from the movie. When I finally saw the movie, I realized why they chose that name: Ludo has the power of rocks.
Also, they fired Marshall a while back, this bio needs some serious updating..

Love these guys, lucky to know them. I've been in love with their music since I was 14, and I'm now 21. I heard their song "Saturday Night Thunderbolt" on STL's 105.7 The Point the other night in the car with my boyfriend.. lol I made him blast it ;) Seeing them this August!
Bio is wrong, if you're gonna go back to their origins, they started in St. Louis, movedd to OK temporarily, then came back here. And 3/5 are from St. Louis, the other 2 aren't from Tulsa.
Ludo is one of the most amazing bands I've ever heard. I CANNOT wait until thier new cd comes out!!! I'm getting it within the first week of release!! Have fun with whip cream!
theyre definitely not cookie cutter. not a single one of their songs is normal; theyre all demented in one way or another. which makes them even more hilarious =>>
he kinda sings through his nose.. BUT HE'S FRIGGIN AWESOME

Why doesn't Pandora have their first two albums? shouldn't they be on here, since Ludo re-released them?

The first song I heard was Go Getter Greg, they would always show up when Pandora recommends shows. So I spent an hour looking up all their music, then bought the "You're Awful I, I Love You" album. These guys are amazing. They're ironic, funny, smart, and just all around amazing!
I first found Ludo when i went to a Spill Canvas show(possibly my favorite band) and surprisingly Ludo BLEW THEM AWAY. I was shocked and have seen them 3 more times since. They are always spot on live, and hilarious!

"You're Awful, I Love You" is one of the best albums I've bought in a long time. kudos
Ludo is an completely underrated band. They have a lot of potential with and are all extremely talented musicians with a refreshingly new sound. They are also high energy and hilarious.
A girlfriend turned me on to them, great band. Original lyrics, great live shows, and an enthusiasm that is all out all the time. Broken Bride really sets out everything they are.

greaty greaty great band...mhm mhm...how can you not love this stuff?! everything is great
"You're Awful, I Love You" is an awesome album, but i wish they had some of their older stuff. "The Broken Bride" is heartbreakingly beautiful at times, and their self titled debut album is just funny. If you <3 Ludo, czech out their other stuff!
Honestly, these guys are my second favorite band, and I will proudly say that You're Awful, I Love you is the best album I've ever bought. These guys are both insane talented AND hilarious.
they have a self titled album before You're Awful, I love You that was just as good. Its not the EP Broken Bride. You can get it on iTunes. Check out the song Hum Along, first song i ever heard by them and made them my favorite band.

my favorite song off the album is "Horror of our love"
Sure there awsome, but don,t you think you guys are being a bit obsessive.?
No such thing, go to one of their concerts and you'll find out why.
each member brings something amazing to their unique sound.
andrew's lyrics are pure brilliance.
