Machines Of Loving Grace

Machines of Loving Grace, an aggressive industrial band with distorted vocals, formed in 1989 around vocalist Scott Benzel, keyboardist Mike Fisher, guitarist and bassist Stuart Kupers, and drummer Brad Kemp. After self-releasing their debut album, the group was picked up by Mammoth in 1991. Concentration appeared in 1993, and Gilt followed two years later. ~ John Bush, Rovi

I knew these catz in Tucson and was at 1991 record release party. Yes pandora please comment on the Crow sound tack at least . Really, that's note worthy....
I totally agree I love MOLG..there is nothing ever anywhere about them and I listen to them tool, puscifer,KMF D M everyday! They Pandora added a little of guilt that's it!
Here is the skinny on Tucson's favorite sons. Your welcome Pandora :)
Named for a Richard Brautigan poem, they formed in 1989. The original lineup consisted of Scott Benzel (vocals), Stuart Kupers (guitar and bass), and Mike Fisher (keyboards), with Brad Kemp (drums) added shortly thereafter. They recorded a demo and were picked up by Carrboro, North Carolina-bas e d Mammoth Records in 1991. The band was unable to rerecord their material for their eponymous debut album, as the label released their demo as it was recorded.
Two years later, the band released Concentratio n . It continued their signature sound, but was more refined in the combination of beat- and bass-heavy riffs, with hard edged guitar. With the release of two videos, the band was able to get national-lev e l MTV airplay, and join in the industrial rock wave that was ushered in by Nine Inch Nails.

1994 saw the creation of a new song, "Golgotha Tenement Blues," for the soundtrack to The Crow.
In 1995, Machines of Loving Grace released their third album, Gilt. This record was marked by an increased guitar presence. New bandmembers included David Suycott (drums), Ray Riendeau (bass) and Tom Coffeen (guitar). A remix of the song "Richest Junkie Still Alive" was included on the soundtrack to Hackers. The song, "Tryst" was released on the ill-fated "MegaMan Soundtrack." Furthermore, various mixes of three of their songs "Perfect Tan," "Butterfly Wings," and "Lilith/Eve" -- were featured
As of 1997, the band was working on a new record, but before it was completed the band broke up. This was precipitated by trouble at the label, and Benzel's desire to work on other projects, among other reasons.< 1 & g t ; A new album was to be called Love Scenes at the Slave Market, but after a fruitless search for a label (Mammoth was in the process of being sold), the project was abandoned.
Benzel is involved with an electronic band, called Soulo. Mike Fisher is currently with Amish Rake Fight

LOVE the song.
Sweet song. Pretty much the entire soundtrack is great.
Wow. This is a disappointme n t . Why, Pandora? Why?
wow, that totally sucks to see neither MoLG represented here, nor Amish Rake Fight from mike fisher's later project on Positron

huge hole in pandora
total letdown by pandora. this was a highly relevant electronic rock band that left their mark on many of the top names of that class today. im highly disappointed in pandora. i expected more from such a intriguing site.

Seriously, y'all couldn't post any of their album art? No damn bio? :(
me too, MOLG rocks
I'm disappointed Pandora doesn't have bio info and the discography of Machines of Loving Grace, just this minor mention of them on the "Crow" soundtrack. MOLG have memorable, intelligent, and addictive songs, especially "Limiter", "Perfect Tan (Binking Atoll)", and "Ancestor Cult". At least Yahoo's Launchcast pays them more of an appropriate tribute.
