RIP Major Harris.... RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Major Harris, a former member of the Philadelphia sound soul group the Delfonics and the singer of the 1975 hit Love Won't Let Me Wait, has died in Richmond. He was 65.
This song always makes me want to find a sweet thing that is replete with feminine pultritude and slowly take her to places unknown. Absolutely love this song. It's the kind of song that immediately penetrates the soul and spirit.

This is the joint; It reminds me of those house parties, outside under the carport, sipping on thunder bird and orange juice or TJ Swan easy dazes and mellow night. with the black light.
WOW!!!!!!
The boy was off the chain when he was with the DELFONICS and still can blow
Saw him in Atlanta....Listening to music like this i now understand how i have 7 children.....LOVE WONT LET ME WAIT....that ain't all.........
Clearly everyone making comments about "red light basement" parties and foreplay enhancing are from a different generation. This is definitely a smooth song but it's a song my grandparents would have gotten down to "business" to. My generation looks to some of R. Kelly's older songs (not that new crap he's putting out) or even some old school Jodeci for our foreplay music.
As long as I live, I will always believe this - this is the greatest mood-making, foreplay-enhancing love song ever recorded, especialy the extended version. Now, if I'm wrong, somebody tell me one that's better
