Following the breakup of industrial giants KMFDM in 1999, members Sascha Konietzko and Tim Skold got together in a new project, logically called MDFMK; they added a female vocalist in the person of Lucia Cifarelli, formerly of the band Drill. MDFMK's self-titled debut was released in the spring of 2000, marking a move away from the dance-club leanings in KMFDM's later work and a return to their more aggressive, guitar-driven side, as well as adding a substantial noise-rock influence. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
I think the best track out of the MDFMK side project in a non-album track called Missing Time. It can be found on the Heavy Metal 2000 soundtrack if interested.
hayley- they never were meant to last. they're KMFDM with a legal clause at the time, therefore called MDFMK. But really this should be a KMFDM album, the first without En Esch. Sad the whole break up happens, but nothing lasts forever.

I'm glad KMFDM got a chance to branch out and get back to its root sound with this side project. Tim Skold is amazing with bassline productions and riffs. Sascha got a chance to really get out some of the aggression and intricate guitar melodies that began KMFDM. Rabbel Rouser hits hard and fast. Control? has a familiar political control element that makes KMFDM famous. Out of My Head has a rich and deep bass grove that allow the vocals to soar. Nice album altogether.

not bad...KMFDM is better, though....

Love this group! I'm a fan of KMFDM, but I liked MDFMK even more. Too bad they didn't last!
