Saw these guys play live at the Prospector in Long Beach back in the summer of 08'.

It's funny how people compare bands to others that are currently on the radio, but fail to notice the similarities to 20-year-old groups. These guys sound for all the world like The Ocean Blue from the mid-80's.

The song Wide Awake is sampling very heavily from a Boo Radleys song. So much so that I bet there is some relationship between the bands. If you like The Meeting Places you'll love an album called Everything's Allright Forever by The Boo Radleys.

I purchased the album off of Amazon and it was probably the greatest ~$7 i've ever spent on a CD. Every track is just incredible. The wall-of-soun d guitar is just so hypnotic and loud, it's amazing. The first time I heard Take to the Sun I was rocking out so hard, it was as if Jesus had come down from the heavens to give me a bj.
