This song is kinda trash, Mustaine could've done a much better job of redoing the Four Horsemen, unfortunately he made this schlock, and cemented the Four Horsemen as the better version. He is usually a lot better than this, but that's what you get when you are trying to compete with Cliff Burton and Co.

i wonder what the lyrics are about. *(wink)* in my opinion, bear with me, megadeth has the speed and sound I love, but metallica made the four horsemen singable and able to listen to. I cant keep track of what Mustaine is even saying!
i like the four horsemen better, but this is still amazing though. i really dont care whether im listening to megadeath or metallica cuz they sound too similar for me to give a damn. its like saying APC is better than Tool, their basically the same thing.
I'll say the same thing I said in the "The Four Horseman" comments: "Mechanix" is better. Metallica took a perfectly good song about getting laid and cheesy automotive double-entendres and turned it in to a slow, plodding, too long epic with corny mythological lyrics that don't sound as deep and as cool as they did 25 years ago. "Mechanix" has much better energy to it and songs about getting laid are timeless.

you guys do know that mustaine wrote this before he was in metallica and METALLICA ripped it off, not megadeth, right? so, moral of the story you guys should get the facts straight. on another note, you metal fans should try some christian metal bands like BRIDE or TOURNIQUET. THEY ROCK!!

Dave helped write this song and took it with him when he got kicked from the band and recorded his own version. If I remember correctly, I read an interview with Mustaine claiming Metallica was using his stuff through Master...including Leper Messiah which he says was his song called "the Hills Run Red" Metallica version is better however. Who wouldnt'rather hear a song about the four horsemen than a Mechanic? "turn the screws for life"?....LAME!

So it sounds like this song was actually written before "the Four Horsemen"? I like the lyrics of Four Horsemen better but I do like the intensity of this song. From what I understand Metallica was still using some of Dave's stuff all the way through Ride the Lightning. It would be interesting to see how Metallica would have come out if Dave had stayed with them.

Wow. There is ALWAYS someone fighting about metallica on a megadeth song. Grow up, and go to another song by metallica please. No this song was by Dave in the band posion and he later wrote half of killem all and part of ride the lightning. So go away and stop fighting . This 20 yearold fighting needs to give up already.

Dave must have really been reaching to take the music fom "The Four Horsemen" and put his owm lyrics to the music he and the guys from Metallica wrote. LOL
