Power pop specialists Meow Meow were born in 1998 as a studio project for Kirk Hellie and Chris O'Brien. Upon the demise of their individual bands, Pink Noise Test and Brian Jones Was Murdered, the duo decided to pursue the group full-time, employing drummer Norm Block, bassist Michael Orendy, and engineer/co-producer Eddie Ashworth to complete their full-length debut.
