Yeah, I'll agree with you, there, Onyx. They're not as good as Nightwish or
Epica, but they're still good, although they pale in comparison to the aforementioned bands.

3 stars - they have moments of beauty in their music, churning the dark waters of angst and sorrow, bewitching though limited lyrical tones met with oft underwhelming instrumentals. To me, they come across as being flat. Not an entire loss, but Mortal Love seems more an imitator then an originator, trailing behind in the footsteps of it's predecessors to the European female-fronted goth and symphonic movement.
THEY ARE DEFINITELY WEIRD BUT I REALLY LIKE THAT THEY ARE A LIL OFF FROM THE AVERAGE STUFF OUT.

LOL...I feel the same way, better late than never, I believe I missed this artist because bands from the Netherlands and even mainland Europe just don't seem to be promoted as much here. Kudos to Pandora, I now have a whole list of bands to enjoy!

the only word that comes to mind when listening is "haunting"... stirs my insides like nothing else i've heard lately. the word "awesome" doesn't do justice. shame there's no bio.

Great band. They have three CDs out that were released in a sequential trilogy, as the names show. Their first CD isn't listed on Pandora and is title "All the Beauty". Add the names together, in order, and you get "All the beauty I have lost forever will be gone". Just some random daily trivia for you.
Oh yes!!! And glory of glories, 'Sanity' has that phrase I've been searching for ever since I first heard it: part of the lyrics is 'this is my theatre of tragedy'!!!!! YEESSSSSSSSSS!!
