I Came to Play
About This Album
There are some occasional bright spots on this late '80s album by outstanding session guitarist Paul Jackson, Jr. But because it's halfway between instrumental pop and fusion, Jackson and such guests as Gerald Albright and George Duke never really cut loose and displayed their full skills, while the vocals from O'Bryan and others were generic and delivered in a flat, routine manner. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
