Mic Murphy and David Frank created a new group mixing funk and technology in the early '80s. While the debut wasn't a huge pop hit, it made an immediate impact in the R&B community. The synthesized backbeat of "You Are In My System" rose up the charts and made Murphy and Frank the hot R&B production tandem of the day.
