Sweeter Things: A Compilation
About This Album
A solid favorite in Canada, the Vancouver band sounds great on this 17-song collection from its first five albums. Listening to these radio-friendly tunes, it's hard to understand why the group didn't sell more albums and make a bigger dent in the U.S. Neil Osborne is a thoughtful, observant songwriter, and guitarist Phil Comparelli throws in some trumpet, recalling John Entwistle's unlikely French horn contributions to the Who. There's some anger here, but a lot of hope and some very danceable, hummable music. ~ Mark Allan, All Music Guide
