United We Fear (Explicit)
About This Album
Something of a metal supergroup, featuring P.O.D.'s Marcos Curiel and Grammatrain's Pete Stewart, the Accident Experiment specialize in technically complex yet melodically accessible hard rock that isn't beholden to any one specific metal subgenre. Stewart's clean, emotionally expressive (but not at all emo) vocals are the Accident Experiment's focal point, alongside Curiel's equally precise guitar riffs, and the pair's focus throughout United We Fear is on expression instead of aggression. Prime Soundgarden comes to mind quite often, especially on the excellent opener "Sick Love Letter" and the dynamic "Slow Down," but flashes of everyone from Pantera to Whitesnake (in the best possible sense) permeate these 14 meaty, substantial, and hard-rocking songs. ~ Stewart Mason, All Music Guide
