Thia album explores a wide range of emotions, spirituality, redemption, songs of depth. (Though, btw, did you notice that Hallelujah was the #1 and #2 song at Christmas in the UK this past Winter!)
I have to say, I consider Christmas albums a sign of self-indulgence in well-established artists, and in lesser-known independents, a sure sign that you're taking yourself too seriously. That said, if you want a Christmas album of a good female vocalist who knows how to accompany herself on piano, and really takes on traditional songs and remakes them anew, I recommend Sarah Lentz over Allison Crowe any day.
