Thia album explores a wide range of emotions, spirituality , redemption, songs of depth. (Though, btw, did you notice that Hallelujah was the #1 and #2 song at Christmas in the UK this past Winter!)

I am amazed that she included Hallelujah on a holiday album. it is SO far from a christmas song that its ridiculous.

I have to say, I consider Christmas albums a sign of self-indulge n c e in well-establi s h e d artists, and in lesser-known independents , a sure sign that you're taking yourself too seriously. That said, if you want a Christmas album of a good female vocalist who knows how to accompany herself on piano, and really takes on traditional songs and remakes them anew, I recommend Sarah Lentz over Allison Crowe any day.

Her cover of Let it Be is wonderful. Not a lot of people do this song right when they try to cover it, but this is one of the minority.
