This is a little too new. Good song, but the real stuff is Big Joe Turner, the Dominos, Ruth Brown, Little Ester, Jimmy Ricks and the Ravens, and many other 40's and 50's r&b artists if you want the true shag music. Get DJ Butch Metcalf to dig down deep in his cd box and you will find nirvana.

beach music has different meanings based on where you live or grew up in America...mo s t people think you are talking about West Coast beach music like the Beach Boys, but if you grew up in the carolinas, georgia or virginia then you know beach music as a very unique R & B-soul based music that has dance routines associated with it called "Shaggin'".. . e x a m p l e s range from the Dominos-Clov e r s - P l a t t e r s era to the new current beach muscia and bands that alive and well in the southeast!!
