About This Album
The trio of pianist Billy Childs (an underrated great), bassist Buster Williams, and drummer Carl Allen digs into four standards (including "Surrey With the Fringe on Top" and "Love Dance"), two Childs songs, and three by Williams. The music is slightly unpredictable modern hard bop, played in swinging and creative fashion by three masterful players.
