Any lucky owner of Binary Star's limited-distribution pressing of the 1999 LP Waterworld would already be familiar with most of the material on Masters of the Universe. It has everything a great hip-hop album requires, with varied beats, differing rhyme deliveries, and content you'll find yourself thinking about long after it's been said. Unfortunately, without a huge marketing budget from a major label, this album will probably fail to reach the level of success it deserves, but then again, Binary Star isn't necessarily after the typical ideal of success. With quotes like this -- "Rap's got 'em brainwashed with cash that don't last/And five minutes of fame, that's when it's a shame/Seein' real MCs try to imitate rappers/If you ask me, they goin' out a**-backwards/Tradin' in respect just to push a phat Lex/And Puffy rhymin' on the remix, what's next?!" -- it's easy to see why this is a refreshing alternative from the mainstream of rap. [Several years after the album's initial release, LA Underground distributed an upgraded edition of the album, with improved packaging and sound.] ~ Brad Mills, All Music Guide

The fact that "Honest Expression" features the legendary Bruce Lee for its initial quote is sheer genius. That quote should be drilled into the minds of every member of the human race in every spoken language, because that is the most true statement that can apply to just about everything in life, from the paths we choose in life to the way we choose to walk those paths.
Oh, and the rhymes are definitely on point. Just sayin'.
i just realized that the album art is supposed to be a mic traveling through space. it always looked like water or something being squirted out of a tube to propel the tube to me for some reason.
honest expression is one of the best songs I ever heard....anybody know where i could find just the vocal part of the song...i want to use a different beat in the background....
