This indie rock from Philadelphia bides its time equally between delicate pop-prog landscapes, like Tool if Maynard James Keenan were reluctant to allow his metallic influences to show, and straightforward and infectious post-grunge guitar bleating ("Cassius Clay"), with a few acoustic-flavored dramatic power ballads ("Everything Under the Sun," the title track) thrown in for good measure. Good songwriting ties it all together, making Headrush better than the sum of its parts -- and those parts are pretty good themselves. ~ Brian O'Neill, All Music Guide
