About This Album
Bryan Duncan's soulful voice is a pretty powerful instrument, and it provides a fair amount of color to producer Larry Brown's otherwise colorless R&B/pop arrangements. Ordinarily, Duncan's strong suit is his lively pop satires of the foibles of the religious life. This time the attempts at humor aren't so lively, but the more straightforward title track is: it's an infectiously hummable pop tune that deserved radio airplay as much as any of its synth-driven counterparts on 1980s secular radio. ~ Darryl Cater, All Music Guide
