Puerto Rican Circo became involved in the Latin rock scene with an interesting experimental album titled No Todo Lo Que Es Pop Es Bueno. Ex- El Manjar de los Dioses singer/songwriter Jose Abreu delivers his peculiar voice on this 12-track record, covering classic bolero ("Historia de un Amor," previously recorded by Lucho Gatica, Luis Miguel, and Julio Iglesias, among other Latin stars), alternative Latin pop/rock ("Sufro") tropical/pop ("Arrastrao") a sensuous ballad called"Estrella de los 100 Mares" and ending with the electronica-oriented "Perfume." A promising start for a rock en EspaƱol outfit. [There is also a version that includes a five-track live bonus disc.] ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
