The mastery of Clarence has yet to be equaled. There are several pickers out there who come close, but none have ever been able to match his tone, timing or taste. The nineteen cuts on this disc are proof positive of his virtuosity. My favorite cuts are Black Mountain Rag/Soldiers Joy. Laughing Guitar (aka Jimmy's Barnyard Shuffle), Sheik of Araby and Columbus Stockade Blues. His ability to put everything he had into a song yet never stray from the melody is what set him apart in my mind.
