I suddenly realized that I haven’t talked much about the soundtrack specifically , so here goes: I like it, but I prefer the samples in Requiem, even if they would have been out of place here due to the timeless nature of the film.

Let me open by saying Requiem and its soundtrack are probably the best movie/soundt r a c k combo ever. While I agree with almost everything people have said about this soundtrack/m o v i e . . . I can't quite agree with the conclusion; I just didn't find it satisfying in the end. I admired many things about it (especially the visuals/tone ) but my overall opinion was that it needed a stronger/dif f e r e n t story. I realize that would have changed the feel of it, but it’s just how I feel.

This movie has it all, Romance, Drama, Action, Sci-Fi, Suspense, fantasy, and the music, acting and art to wrap it into one amazing movie.

The background visuals are awe inspired & created with chemicals mixed on slides & Petri dishes. See the extra's on the DVD for a complete explanation. The chemical effects could have been used years ago for 2001.

I agree with all of you. This is one amazing work. Besides having such a delicate storyline, what amazed me was the aesthetic beauty. Each and every scene shows so much of creativity, lighting and emotion.
