This Collectables CD contains two of the Clovers' early albums, The Clovers and Dance Party, on one compact disc. Although Dance Party is a little uneven, it contains a number of great songs, and The Clovers is absolutely terrific, filled with classics like "Lovey Dovey," "Ting-A-Ling," "Blue Velvet," and "Devil or Angel." Most listeners will be satisfied by either Atlantic's Down in the Alley or Rhino's The Very Best of the Clovers, but anyone who wants to dig a little deeper should pick this up, despite its shaky packaging and sound. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
