Devendra's 2nd major full band album is a pastiche of everything he has hinted at before. Tropicalia, 60's psychedelia, reggae, it's all here. The record Devendra introduces a new vocal style that has been unheard of on his prior lps. His voice is deeper, more masculine and soulful. That being said, I am not wild by it as a lot of times it sounds forced and leaves his beautiful warble in need of a comeback. This might sound harsh but Devendra was unique and in a world of his own with that voice,
