About This Album
This is intense, but not in the usual, "Trying to write something nice about another mediocre Relapse grindcore band" way. When these guys played the grindcore bar at Milwaukee Metalfest a few years ago, they looked and acted like a seasoned hardcore punk band, but with an incredibly violent edge to them, which is precisely the attitude this three-song EP carries. Not only can these guys play well, but also they have adopted the rare philosophy that remaking Napalm Death's Scum doesn't contain much career extending power. Instead, they amaze with skilled musicianship and sharp lyrics, and provide a perfect snack before the release of their second masterful full-length, Calculating Infinity. There are still some great hooks and melodies found within, along with a passage that could have come straight from a Fugazi album. Seeking hyper-speed grind/hardcore that is highly original? Looks like you just found it. ~ Jason Hundey, All Music Guide
