Though he's a veteran West Coast mixer and producer, Donald Glaude was admittedly less familiar with the English dancefloor chaos typical of the Gallery at Turnmills, his assignment for a second session in Moonshine's Mixed Live series. The Gallery is a hard-house heaven boasting Tall Paul as a resident and a cast of usual suspects who include some of the biggest names in British DJing: Judge Jules, Seb Fontaine, Brandon Block, Sister Bliss, and Cor Fijneman. DJ and dancefloor turned out to be a perfect match, as Glaude's outré flair and widely varying mixing style -- from house-party panic to dizzying techno and back -- inspires the audience many times over (and all of the screaming caught by Moonshine's microphones). Glaude goes deep for several minutes with Kevin Dennis Pierre's "When I Was in Milan II," reaches a nadir (and references Kraftwerk) halfway through Marco Bailey's "Start Point," and deftly pulls out of it in time for detours through loop techno (a Mac Zimms mix), breakbeat funk (a remix of hip-hop hero Afrika Bambaataa), and Eurodisco ("Air Race" by Jose Nunez). Much more so than the usual tasteful mix from Tall Paul or Jules, it's clear Glaude's really working the mix, with at least as much effort being expended behind the decks as in front of them. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
