Upon further listening to this album, I'd like to change my opinion. I didn't notice how well the songs just blended together, to the point where you can barely here a transition, and Granny Niblo (which I just discovered) is another great song. So upon further review, I cannot pick a favorite out of their three albums.
Good point, but Fables also had a couple of songs (Tall Tales, Wifey) that we hadn't heard and another song (A Wolf Descends...) that we hadn't heard in a while. Also, you want Orphan Anthem, pick up The Drawn and Quartered EP that they put out.
I like the production on this album more than I like the production on Fables. Plus, as mentioned below, Fables is missing Orphan Anthem 86. Too bad I can't find a copy for less than $100...
the developed version of the album, fables from a mayfly, is better, but it's still interesting to here their music like this, especially since a lot of the songs that made it onto the album were tweaked extensively. they should have put orphan anthem on fables though (awesome song).
