David Kosten, the mastermind behind this heady mix of electronic panorama and sweeping strings, deserves strong kudos for attempting to expand the palette of the electronic form. While not every track is riveting, there are plenty of galvanizing moments, such as the rich layers of "Awake" and the dark recesses of the title track (with its sample of Dennis Hopper from the film Blue Velvet). ~ Tim Sheridan, All Music Guide
