I first heard Frank on a duet with Marilyn Scott and swore it was Donny Hathaway. Had never heard of Frank McComb and wonder why he has does not get air play on radio stations. Thanks Pandora for helping me expand my musical interest through the internet. Perhaps Pandora listeners can petition our local radio stations to give Frank some air time.
I agree. iTunes only has this album as a partial album, which is a bummer. Gotta Find A Way, The Wedding Song and Wasting Your Time as well as Some Other Time are not on for sale. But if it weren't for iTunes, in addition to his own imprint, we wouldn't be able to get his cds.
And I think more than coming from a strong tradition of eldership, he also takes musicianship to another level, which contemporary music definitely needs!
I agree with you Jade, something is seriously wrong within the music industry today. I've noticed that all the singers who have similar styles as their "elders" (i.e. Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Prince, etc.) have a difficult time getting any airtime on FM radio, publicity, awards, etc. So it makes me wonder if Prince and some of the others I mentioned above had started their music careers in this day, would they have major success? Thank goodness for internet radio!
