Still Up In This S**t! (Explicit)
About This Album
Frost looks tired on the cover of his Still up in This $#*T, and you can imagine why. In the liner notes, he discusses all the "ish" he went through since his previous album, That Was Then, This Is Now, Vol. 2 (2000). During that two-year span, some of Frost's family passed away and some of his acquaintances took advantage of him. Rather than come out vengeful, however, Frost comes out wise and reserved, thankful for what he has and trying his best to be tolerant of the "ish" rather than angry about it. Anyone who has followed Frost throughout his prolific run as a West Coast Chicano rapper will appreciate his mature stance on Still up in This $#*T. Unfortunately, anyone not familiar with much of Frost's past recordings may not see the significance of this album's change in tone. You need a bit of context to comprehend this significance, and once you have that context, you'll no doubt appreciate Frost's growth. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
