About This Album
Hollywood's shoddy packaging of George Jones are notorious but Golden Hits is one of the company's better efforts. The quality of the recordings is fairly good, though a close listen reveals a few instances of vinyl sources, and the re-recordings are not bad ("I'll Follow You On Up to Our Cloud" and "Walk Through This World With Me" seem to be the only originals). Golden Hits only features 10 tracks but there are much worse Jones budget-line collections on the market. ~ Chris Woodstra, All Music Guide
