Giant Drag is a duo made up of Annie Hardy (guitars and vocals) and Micah Calabrese (drums). They have a killer song, "This Isn't It." It's the first song on Lemona, their debut EP. The song is like the shoegaze anthem that none of the bands in the '80s/'90s had the spunk to record. The music is pure distorted candy floss, the lyrics razor sharp, and Hardy's vocals resigned and furious at the same time. It's the kind of song you will listen to five or six times in a row, getting more and more into it each time. The rest of the EP doesn't quite live up to the track, but who could really expect that. The four songs are decent post-everything guitar rock, a little forced but still enjoyable.
