Rock the Boat: Golden Classics may not have many songs as great as "Rock the Boat" (although it's nice to hear Allen Toussaint's "Freedom for the Stallion") but it summarizes the Hues Corporation's recordings well. It's frothy pop-soul and disco, with pleasing grooves -- sometimes the grooves get a little repetitive, but nothing is outright bad here, either.
