Imajin
About This Album
The teenage R&B foursome known as Imajin have loads of talent between them, writing and arranging most of the tracks on their debut album and playing on quite a few of them. Though producers Ron "Amen-Ra" Lawrence and Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie (both are heavy Puff Daddy associates) put a sheen over the entire album, the individual talents in the group do shine on this assortment of R&B and light hip-hop songs. Though tracks like "Shorty (You Keep Playin' with My Mind" and "You're the Bomb" probably won't make much of an impression on listeners over the age of 20, Imajin make urban R&B much more enjoyable than any in the Backstreet Boys/'N Sync ilk. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
