This special edition digipack combines In Flames' excellent sophomore effort, 1995's The Jester Race with the EP that served as a taster for the band's landmark follow-up of two years later, the career defining Black-Ash Inheritance. For those who missed either/or the first time around, this release offers greater incentive to discover this seminal Swedish heavy metal band. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
Please don't be an idiot. They did not "sell out" they took their sound in a new direction. Bands do this all the time as they grow as artists. I happen to prefer their later stuff more but you don't see me writing on message boards for early albums in a band's career bad mouthing them. Let's try an experiment. What if I wrote this.
Before they were good... They made this crappy record...
