This compilation of two records on one disc is taken from Jean Carn's residency on the Philadelphia International imprint. Released in 1979, When I Find You Love is regarded by many to be the apex of her tenure there. It's chock-full of disco-tinged uptempo R&B numbers, culminating in "Was That All It Was," considered by many a disco connoisseur to be Carn's finest moment. Sweet and Wonderful from 1981 also reflected Philadelphia International's transition away from disco to a more contemporary R&B sound, and featured the chart hit "Love Don't Love Nobody." Most of this album pales in comparison to When I Find You Love, but Carn on an average day is still better than most singers at their best. ~ Rob Theakston, All Music Guide
