Actually, Soap Opera by The Kinks was originally released in 1975 - 2005 is just the most recent re-re-re-iss u e or whatever. It would be nice if they would put the original release dates on these pages for clarity.

First encounter with this glorious mess was an 8-track purchase out of the bargain bin--the best 2 bucks ever spent! I get a huge kick out of the entire TONGUE IN CHEEK thing. Try not to laugh at 'Ordinary People' or not sing along witht the pub-anthem-t h a t - n e v e r - w a s , 'Have Another Drink'. Good luck!Four thumbs-up!
