Lots of hand-clapping, hands-to-the-Heavens praise with this album, but the music inevitably wears out its welcome after about the 25th repetition of any given song's chorus. Fourteen tracks, most of which was composed by Carr, showcase his troupe's solo talents fairly well. But the truth is, they lack harmony when they split into parts. It's not exactly tuneful. However, for die-hard black gospel fans, this may fit the bill. ~ Dacia A. Blodgett-Williams, All Music Guide

I have to agree with your comments lenique 13901. I am a fan of Pandora to no end however, they need to get "music guides" that actually know about the music they are critiquing. ~Dacia, you have no idea what gospel is. Your tone "die-hard black gospel fans" shows your lack of respect for gospel and its Afro-centric roots. Stick to critiquing music thats not so "hand-clapping, hands-to-the-Heavens praise, die hard gospel."
I don't know who ms. Dacia A. Blodgett-Williams is from all music guide but this album does not lack tunefulness. It is traditional in most cases. I don't want to be rude but I can assume that this is not the genre of her choice... In my opinion this album is a blessing because of the musicians background you get a twist on gospel; a throw back at times mixed with classical influence. Finally, as a Christian I have a great appreciation for Carr's music.
