Hurry Up And Wait
About This Album
They weren't kidding when they called themselves Land of the Loops. Hurry Up and Wait is filled with hypnotic trip-hop beats, keyboard leads, and oodles of tape-loop samples; there's not a guitar to be found here. And even if there are only three actual songs instead of five as listed (the intro track being only six seconds of two people talking, and the final "Extra Chicken" consisting of a minute and a half of dead air), "Fresh Grand Parkway" makes up for the false advertising, led delightfully by Heather Lewis' calm but soulful voice. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
