Echoes
About This Album
Maggie Reilly owns the heavenly vocal instrument that often graces Mike Oldfield's best pop work ("Moonlight Shadow," "To France"). Her solo effort Echoes is colored by a regal but somewhat static progressive rock production; still, that voice forgives much. There are two songs that deserve to be plastered all over radio. "Everytime We Touch" is a dreamy, memorable love song offered here in two versions. Stick with the opener and forget the funked-up extended version that closes the album. Wait features tasty Spanish guitar and double-tracked chorus ... and double Maggie is alright by me. ~ Roch Parisien, All Music Guide
