The grooves on this disc are unreal! Marcus Miller has been around for quite some time and it truly shows on this CD. While "Behind the Smile", is something new, it still has an old school vibe that brings to mind the funky sounds of the 70's and 80's. The harmonica playing reminds me of Stevie! Miller's works are just as substantial, if not more so than any other bassist playing today! I have his other discs on my wish list!
