Evoking spiritual emotions through the use of lush, enveloping sonic textures, Michelle Tumes' Center of My Universe is an accomplished sophomore effort that refines the sound and style of her debut. Although one can hear echoes of Sarah McLachlan in Tumes' floating, ethereal voice, the closest secular comparison is probably Enya, thanks in part to the lovely, sonically detailed orchestrations of her backing tracks.
