Mollys Yes' major label debut Wonderworld puts a different spin on the modern rock sound, blending shimmering guitars, soaring vocals and crisp percussion on songs like "Sugar," "Frida Kahlo" and "Fall Down." While the group's style is distinctive, it's also somewhat monotonous, varying little from track to track. "Promises" and the title track add keyboards, scratches and funkier rhythms to their basic radio-friendly alt-rock sound, suggesting that Mollys Yes might add more depth to their music in the future. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
