Live! at Tom's Strip-N-Bowl is a great collector's item featuring a drunken yet vicious live set by The Mono Men performing at a buddy's bachelor party. The record (also available on CD sans fold-out bowling pins) includes three songs from 1994's Sin & Tonic, as well as Billy Childish's "Lie Detector," and some of The Mono Men's best material from previous albums, like "Testify" and "Phantom on Lane 12." Though the sound quality of a bowling alley is not inherently conducive to a live recording, the liquored-up ambience is all Mono Men. ~ Matt Carlson, All Music Guide
