Given the unorthodox working practices forced on members Brian Ladd and Scott Gibbons as a result of living thousands of miles away from each other, Orbitronik's self-titled debut is a surprisingly cohesive burst of electronica; crafted largely out of vintage equipment -- including Moog synths and a Vocoder -- tracks like "Freedom Machine 2000" and "Elephant Eats Boy" possess a distinctive sound, complete with touches of avant noise and a firm grasp of atmospherics. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
