The Ultimate Sin
About This Album
Ozzy Osbourne streamlines his approach to keep up with the emerging trend toward slick, radio-ready metal. There are some good moments, including the single "Shot in the Dark." ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide

Ozzy is the master at gathering new blood and creating new fans. His albums reflect what needs to be done at the time. If you loved Blizzard of Oz, you will always love Ozzy. But what was needed when I was a teenager was "The Ultimate Sin".
The Madman Oz is still up to his old tricks, spreading his messages of individualit y , non conformity, strength in wisdom, and anti-war. God bless the Oz Man. If you have ever jammed and tried to understand one of his songs, we are all better off for it. |

What kind of lame review is this? This was a great album with some kick a** songs!
The review sucked badly. This was a really good album. Not his best but songs like shot in the dark were great. hell even "Secret Loser" made some movie.
great tune by the way." Killer of Giants" is way underrated great intro. And "Fool Like You" is a really good song. Last 4 songs of this album are the best. |

Don't have to look up the Shark Sandwich review jorgevalenti n e 1 9 7 8 : Spinal Tap the movie is in my blood. 2 words: "S**t Sandwich".

Jake's work on this albun is the best thing abouot it. Most of the songs are weak lyrically...
good album...but not up to ozzy's standards... j u s t doesnt compare with blizzard or diary, thankf u l l y ozzy straightened up and has some better releases later.....
Actualy ak00wright, Spinal Tap has the shortest review ever for their album "Shark Sandwich".
You should look it up. |
great album....bit then again nothing Ozzy has done has disappointed me
Definitly my fav Ozzy album as well. Love Jake E Lee's solos and every song on this album rocks. I never got caught up in Zack Wylde's playing, fast but not as inventive, too many pinch harmonics with crazy vibrato.

The Ozzy and Metallica double-bill was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Ozzy had a ton of material to perform, and Metallica was touring for the Puppets disc. Good times....goo d times...

OZZY is and always will be the GOD of Metal. This and all his albums are better than just about everything out there.
I personally did not like this ablum, but that isnt to say its bad, it wasnt my cup of tea, however i do really like Shot In The Dark and Lightning Strikes.
NO MATTER IF YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT, ITS WAY BETTER THAN WHAT THEY ARE MAKING NOW. BY COMPARISON THIS IS GRAMMY MATERIAL COMPARED TO TODAYS SO CALLED "TALENT"...I CAN STILL REMEMBER THIS CONCERT WITH METALLICA... B E S T CONVERT FOR ME EVER! 5 1/2 HOUR SHOW OF METALLICA AND THE OZZMAN...IN THEIR PRIME.
To get off the b**ching about wish of the OZZMAN albums is better. What ever happened to Bad English? popsritch AHUGE OZZMAN fanatic.

Cj: Rudy was brought from Quiet Riot to go on tour back in 80, maybe 81. I don't think he ever played on an Ozzy studio album. He could be found on the Tribute live album, though. There was some animosity between Daisley and the other peeps..Funny how Bob Daisley helped construct 2 of the best albums Ozzy ever did...You can look up the info on Daisley's attempt to sue Ozzy and Sharon.

This follow up to 1983's "Bark at the moon" Proves to be the Greatest Post Randy Rhodes albulm Despite the Fact that Zack Wilde is A better Guitarist than LEE, Jake shows skills here that were not present on Bark" great shreading, The video and songs for Utimate sin "& shot in the Dark are great Killer of Giants " Never know Why r Great Randy Costello and Phill Sousan also shine on drums and Bass this is ozzy at his peak also great tour i saw them with Metallica also thom is right about rudy

MICHAEL JAKE WAS NEVER WITH METALLICA THEY HAD CLIFF BURTON HE DIED THEN CAME JASON AFTER THAT WAS ROB TRUJILLO
"i"m pretty sure that he's no longer in the band. hmmm"
No, he's with Metallica now. He and Jason switched jobs. As for Jake, his band that came after, Badlands, was pretty decent too but the singer died of AIDS. I lost track after that. As far as Ozzy's albums as a whole, I still like Diary best, Sin second and after that it's a toss up. I only liked about three songs from any other one he did whereas the previous two, I liked pretty much all of them. SATO is my all time fave. Rhodes just lets |
greatest thing bout jake e.lee was that he never used a whammy bar. so what ever happened to the guy? ozzy's bass player wrote this song. i"m pretty sure that he's no longer in the band. hmmm
If it weren't for the amazing guitar work of Jake E. Lee, this album would sorta suck. Kind of like the other Jake album "bark at the moon". he saved that one from complete suckage, too. the songwriting on Ozzy's first 2 albums was FAR superior to "Ultimate Sin" and "Bark at the Moon".
