Paul Cardall's tender-hearted treatment of spiritual children's songs makes Primary Worship one of his most accessible albums. Light piano arrangements are accompanied at times by sensational cellist Steven Sharp Nelson and percussionist Randy Herbert. Cardall gives these songs a grown-up sound rather than attempting anything too light or playful. Out of hundreds of possible selections in the Latterday Saint repertoire, he selected some of the most treasured and oft-sung. This does not limit the album's appeal, but instead shows off Cardall's innate ability to create music that can penetrate the souls of believers and nonbelievers alike. ~ Jared Johnson, All Music Guide
I love listening to piano playing and I love Church hymns. I am Mormon and I very proud of it. I love going to the temple and feeling the sprit. I know this church is true without a doubt.
