About This Album
Essentially background dance music with cooing vocals, quiet and predictable electronic rhythms and some derivative sax solos, the performances on this CD are pleasant but instantly forgettable. Paul Hardcastle plays keyboards, guitar, bass and percussion and is assisted by singer Helen Rogers and the reeds of Phil Todd and Chris Snake Davis. From the jazz standpoint this recording is very weak but it made the so-called "contemporary jazz" charts and has been a big seller. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
