About This Album
The 90/90 release is the second teaser for Pole's self-titled full-length for Mute, and it only had any true sense of purpose prior to its release. "Slow Motion," the lead cut on the album, is here in three forms. There's the album version, featuring vocals from Ohio-based rapper Fat Jon, and then there are instrumental and a cappella takes included as well. "I Can't Hear [Ska Version]" is a relatively uptempo and tightly constructed instrumental that would've added some well-needed energy to the album. Though that track is a redeeming factor, only completists and DJs need to seek this out. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
